语言学院成立于2016年,为学校重点建设的学院之一。学院最早的英语专业创办于2001年,当年面向全国招收五年制英语专业学生80多人,2003年面向全国招收培养三年制英语教育专业学生。语言学院坚持培养服务中国普通教育和特殊教育事业专业化人才的定位,2016和2017年创办了英语本科专业和汉语言文学本科专业,主要培养基础教育阶段中文和英语师资。

语言学院现有专任教师48人,其中教授4人、副教授17人,讲师21人;具有博士学位7人,硕士学位38人;有江苏省“六大人才高峰”高层次人才1人,江苏省“333工程”第三层次人才2人,江苏省“青蓝工程”学术带头人3人,优秀青年骨干教师2人;有教育部特殊教育专家库专家1人,省级普通话测试员2人。学院常年聘请外籍教师授课,有19名教师曾赴美、英、加、澳、日、俄等国家著名高校交流和进修学习。2015年学校升格成本科院校以来,学院教师获批国家级和部省级课题10余项,厅局级课题40余项,获省级和厅局级优秀科研成果奖6项,公开发表学术论文140余篇,其中SCI和SSCI收录3篇,CSSCI期刊收录20余篇,中文核心期刊收录50余篇,出版学术专著和教材24部。

学院拥有省级在线开放课程2项、校级精品课程5门,获批14项省级和校级教改课题。教师在各级教学大赛和微课大赛中获省级以上奖15项,指导学生参加省级学科类比赛获奖60余项。学院注重学生专业实践能力培养,拥有一系列高配置、能满足教学和科研所需的语言学习软件、中外文音像图书资料、语音实验室及盲文、手语训练技能实训室,拥有中国盲文手语推广服务中心和一批普通中小学校、特殊教育学校等实习基地,为学生教育见习、实习和实训提供平台,为提高学生就业能力创造良好的条件。

面向未来,学院将坚持“博爱塑魂”的办学理念,贯彻学校“特色发展、内涵发展、融合发展、开放发展”战略,积极开展汉语言文学和英国语言文学科学研究,加强特色课程建设和课堂教学改革,不断提升本科人才培养能力,为普通中小学和特殊教育学校培养高质量的中英文师资做出积极的贡献。


Introduction to School of Languages

The School of Languages in Nanjing Normal University of special education was founded in 2016, being one of the key schools of the University. The English major, which is the first major of the school, was founded in 2001 when more than 80 five-year students were enrolled nationwide, and in 2003, three-year students of English education major were recruited nationwide. Adhering to the orientation of cultivating professional talents for general education and special education in China, the school established English undergraduate program and Chinese language and literature undergraduate program in 2016 and 2017 respectively, mainly training English and Chinese teachers for elementary education. 

The school has a teaching team of 48 full-time teachers, including 4 professors, 17 associate professors and 21 lecturers, 7 of which have doctoral degree and 38 with master's degree. Among all the faculties, there is 1 high-level talent of the six talent peaks in Jiangsu Province, 2 third level talents of the 333 project in Jiangsu Province, 3 academic leaders of the blue project in Jiangsu Province, 2 outstanding young backbone teachers, 1 expert in the special education expert database of the Ministry of education, and 2 provincial Mandarin testers. The school employs foreign teachers for related courses and 19 of the teachers have visited prestigious universities in the United States, Britain, Canada, Australia, Japan, Russia and other countries for exchange or further study. Since the university has been upgraded to an undergraduate institution in 2015, teachers have been approved with over 10 projects of national and ministerial level, as well as over 40 projects of provincial and department level, won 6 excellent scientific research achievements awards of provincial and ministerial level, published over 140 academic papers, including 3 in SCI and SSCI journals, 20 in CSSCI journals, more than 50 in Chinese core journals, and published 24 academic monographs and textbooks.

The school has 2 provincial online open courses, 5 school level excellent courses, and 14 teaching reform projects of provincial and school level. Teachers has won 15 awards of or above the provincial level in teaching competitions and micro-class competitions at all levels, and guided students to participate in over 60 provincial discipline competitions. The school attaches great importance to the cultivation of students' professional practical ability. It has a series of high configuration language learning software, audio-visual books and materials in Chinese and foreign languages, language laboratories and training rooms for Braille and sign language skills, all of which can meet the needs of teaching and researches. It also has an extension service center for Braille and sign language and a number of internship bases for general primary and secondary schools ae well as special education schools, providing students with educational probation, practice and skill training, served as a platform for improving students' employability.

Facing the future, the school will adhere to the concept of love shaping soul, quality oriented and characteristic based, implement the university's developmental strategy of characteristic development, connotative development, integrated development and open development, actively carry out scientific researches on Chinese language and literature as well as foreign language and literature, strengthen the construction of characteristic courses and classroom teaching reform, and constantly improve the cultivation ability of undergraduate talents for general primary schools, secondary schools and Special education schools, making positive contributions to the cultivation of high-quality Chinese and English teachers.
